Renault has unveiled its upscale compact car for the Indian market - the Renault Pulse.
The third of five Renault cars to be launched in India in just over a year - after the Renault Fluence and Renault Koleos - the Renault Pulse is designed to appeal to the brand's young, upwardly mobile urban customers.
Created in Renault’s Mumbai Design Centre, the new Renault model features a 1.5 dCi diesel engine and improved fuel efficiency and traction - benefiting from the marque's Formula 1 engineers.
It also comes with a smart access key and automatically folding outside mirrors, appropriate for city parking.
According to Renault, the car "is the ideal introduction to the Renault world for entry-segment upgraders looking for a bold, fuel-efficient compact car that is fun to drive both on the open road and in the city".
The Renault Pulse is scheduled for release in January 2012, and will feature at the New Delhi Motor Show.
It is uncertain whether The Renault Pulse will make its way to our shores - however judging by Australian releases of the Renault Fluence and Renault Koleos - and the popularity in Australia of other cars in the Renault-Nissan alliance - it is possibly that the new Renault model may make an appearance.
